An anomaly even in the anything-goes music scene of Austria, Buntspecht have carved out a niche with their introspective songcraft embellished by folk and jazz touches. After a few years of performing, the group found sustained success starting with 2019’s Draußen im Kopf and the viral “Unter den Masken.” Subsequent hit albums include 2021’s reflective Spring Bevor Du Fällst and 2025’s Konstrukt 5.
