In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Raised on Beatles LPs, classical cassettes and jazz compilation CDs, my favourite song was "Groove Is In The Heart." I was later pleased to discover it features a Herbie Hancock sample. At age 4, I begged for a trombone but was steered toward piano.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Sailing” All of my recordings up to this point had been recorded in a studio setting. Sailing was the first time I had recorded anything release worthy from my bedroom. It felt incredibly liberating. It also features my first ever recorded guitar performance.
