Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is sitting in the back seat of a car at in while Hip hop and R&B played on the radio. The city felt quiet and cinematic, and I remember feeling like the music was speaking directly to me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Flying Lotus, Cosmogramma Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version) TKZee, Guz 2001 Cosmogramma for its fearless, futuristic beat language. good kid, m.A.A.d city for its cinematic storytelling and emotional depth. Guz 2001 for its timeless South African energy, nostalgia, and cultural impact.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career was hearing my music played back by people from my own hood and watching it turn into an anthem. That was when I realized the music was bigger than me and truly connected with the community.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still want to tour internationally while staying independent, score a film that tells a true South African story, and build a legacy project that opens doors for artists from my hood. Those feel like the final chapters of the dream.
