Blending ragged, emo-tinged indie rock with Americana and folk influences, New Jersey combo Pinegrove built a sturdy, grassroots following through several well-received independent releases before issuing their label debut and breakout album, Cardinal, in 2016. They later kicked off the new decade with their fourth album Marigold, which they followed in 2021 with the ambitious feature-length film Amperland, NY and its accompanying soundtrack. Political and socially conscious themes pervaded the next year's 11:11 LP and they followed it with the 2023 live album Montclair.

Members of Pinegrove include, or have included, Nandi Rose Plunkett, N Levine, and Sam Skinner.

Influenced by PinegrovePinegrove has influenced the music of beaux, Birds of Bellwoods, yubiori and more.
