Artist Biography
Travis Greene is an award-winning gospel artist whose fresh take on the genre has made him one of contemporary Christian music’s brightest talents.
∙ The son of a choir director, Greene grew up playing music in church, and he officially debuted as an artist with the 2007 album The More.
∙ He first cracked Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart with 2010’s Stretching Out, but 2015’s The Hill was his breakthrough, going all the way to No. 1.
∙ “Intentional,” a cut from The Hill, earned Greene the first of his five career Grammy nominations.
∙ In 2015, Greene and his wife, Jackie, founded their own church, Forward City, in South Carolina, and they have led its congregation ever since.
∙ Five of his songs have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot Gospel chart, and two of them (“Intentional” and “Made a Way”) hit No. 1.
∙ At the 2017 Stellar Awards—which recognize excellence in gospel music—he took home seven awards, including Song of the Year (“Made a Way”) and Male Vocalist of the Year.
