The street was filled with blues like an ocean

But sadness didn't show its face at all

The azure sky gave the notion that we were in the grace of God

And reds painted their way in on ardent faces

The city lights turned green, we were going

The streets were already blocked off

An emerald sign full of hope that alighted courage within all of us

And sun, yellow on our skin, blessed our daydream

We passed by orange signs on the sidewalk

The caution tape announced our wherewithal

And traffic cones on the pavement

Outlined the journey through the boulevard

Her hair stood out in the crowd, neon purple

And then they marched the block with their heads up

Erasing Venus pink and cobalt Mars

And blurring lines that they should not have to follow anyway at all

And then, blending hearts and hands, violet rose up
