They say things will be glorious after we’ve won the war

Even with these broken pieces lying on the cold floor

But I’m sick of the truths, and I’m sick of the lies

All the nonchalant words that we use as disguise

To hide from what we don’t want to hear

So no matter what happens, just keep true to true north

Set your sights on the goal, don’t look back, just go forth

It’s all you can do to not disappear

So I’ll write my own story
