Our empty gaze scours the night

Dead hollow worlds fill our eyes

Light itself dies with the spark

Letting the night grow from our breath

Years have passed and centuries followed

Ancient idols were assailed by time

Their golden facades have crumbled

Revealing the absurdity of what we are

A black fire burning bright

Consumes the flesh of our being

Desolate nucleus lost in a starless darkness

Decaying in agony, howling in vain

From which no one can arise

As distant screams assemble together

Forming new and unknown melodies

Psalms of nil, hymns of extinction

Dissipate into the nether
