I wanna be there in the silence

I wanna be, in the moment, just with me

all by myself, wander around, to nowhere else

I wanna feel as off the grid, as I can be

take a break from chasing all other approvals,

take a moment to approve myself for me,

let worries fade away, there’s no one here to entertain, just me myself my headphones + the breeze

maybe I’ll go towards where the sun sets

maybe I'll just find a place nearby to be

maybe I'll think ahead and love myself at 70

wonder what she'll be like, hope that she'll be proud of me

i hope that i will always find a reason

time to just let go and enjoy my company

maybe then i'll smile as i recall a memory

of a passing stranger wondering where in life they'll be

cause life it changes like the seasons

but i'll always matter i'll still be with me
