Sometimes We Fall

Sometimes I fall lightly down

Sometimes I fall, crash to the ground

Even when I might see so clearly

The hazard that lies ahead

Even when I might know it's all show

Somehow I get stuck

When all I needed was to get back up

Maybe we fall because we jumped too high

Maybe we fall for no reason at all

Even when you do the things you're told to

The stars just don't align

Even when you know at seven years old

Somehow you'll be brave

Someday you'll be free of all this

Someone then might say

That all you needed was to get back up

Even when we believe we're worthy

Of everything that we dream

Even when we know we're beautiful and bold

Somehow we shut down

Somewhere lose our way
