Getting high on expectations but never changing situations

Running rather thin on patience - that's how I get by

I don't know if I'd be happy

Out of reach like distant weather, or like a dream you can't remember

Hanging on your silent letters, I try not to look down

Anyway I don't know why I try so hard or not at all
