A drifter came from far away with stories full of fire

You paid him coin and he would sing your one true heart's desire

Of knights and dragons

Elves and dwarves

A princess in distress and more

Fairytales of yester-years to help you go to sleep

Where Good and Evil always fight

And Evil seems to win

But then a savior comes along

The victory to bring

My favorite was of a king who never wore a crown

He never owned or ruled a land but lived his life complete

The wealthy came from far and wide, to witness how he lived

They never thought it possible to accomplish what he did

His secret they all tried to buy, but in he never gave

Sadly, when he passed away he took it to his grave

A knight a dragon, elf and dwarf

Would give up all they have and more

To close their eyes and sleep each night content with what they own

Now I've seen hen's teeth made of gold and bean-stalk magic seeds

To be fulfilled with what you hold is the most rare indeed
