The snow, the snow, the winter snow

It glistens with the morning glow

The snow, the snow beneath our toes

Lays out a crystal carpet as we go

The footprints that we make dance row by row

The snow, the snow, it ebbs and flows

And scatters with the eastern blow

And all the things we think we know

Will melt like ice into the River Bow

The memories that lay frozen long ago

We sit beside the fire's glow

And gaze upon the starlit snow

And dream about the things we'll grow

As winter sleep gives way to springtime show

From underneath a blanket of white snow
