Everything's normal, but something's so wrong

Supposedly my life is free

So why's an AI surveilling me?

The seconds, the minutes, the years

My hopes, my dreams, my fears

Invisible walls, invisible chains

Invisible hand, the digital age

I see no walls around me, but the bars are always there

Surrounding me, I'm trapped, I'm trapped inside a cage of air

And the choice I thought was mine, was it ever truly there?

The hooks inside my mind, the eyes blankly stare

Images flash day and night

A constant barrage of hologram light

My mind can't keep up with the pace of it all

A colorless void beneath where I fall

One second, one minute, one year

The future disappears

My value extracted, my blood is spent

I'm free to choose how I cough up the rent

Vanishes to an empty gray
