Thomas was born in Guernsey to Sarah Martin and Jason Sarre on Saturday 10th August 1996, eight weeks premature
As Thomas became older, his passion was not for football but for horse riding and Xbox gaming
In February 2012, Thomas as a 15 year-old was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer, Rhabdomyasarcoma
This form of cancer affects fewer than 60 children per year in the UK, and is more common in boys than girls, and usually below the age of 10
Cancer treatment for children cannot take place in Guernsey, therefore Thomas' care was transferred to Piam Brown in Southampton General Hospital
One of only 20 treatment centres in the UK for childhood cancer
Thomas was then issued a treatment plan, eight months long, which included chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy
In October 2012, he was given the all clear and moved to monthly checkups in Guernsey
A few days after arriving back from a family holiday in Florida April 2013, Thomas noticed various stomach pains
After seeing Guernsey doctors for ultrasounds, two tumour masses were identified in his stomach
He was immediately referred back to Piam Brown where he embarked on a course of nine months chemotherapy, a 10-hour surgery to remove the tumours and six weeks of radiotherapy
In December 2013, he was once again given the all clear, but with a years maintenance program to keep it from returning
In May 2014, Thomas was once again experiencing problems with his stomach and after further investigation, the cancer had been found to have returned a third time
He was transferred to the Teenage Cancer Trust as he was then too old for Piam Brown
Chemotherapy was once again used to try and control it, however he then made the brave decision to stop treatment as it was proving ineffective
On the 26th August 2014, Thomas passed away
Five years ago, we lost an incredibly brave young man, filled with a mass of potential
Today, we remember him for his kind, caring and brotherly attributes
Methodical Madness was put together by Benjamin Duddy in June 2019
The main group consists of eight core members: Joshua Le Breton, Lauren Baker, Benjamin Duddy, Eloise Martin-Sarre, Jack Le Blancq, Holly Atkinson, Daniel Loller and Elaine Lowe
In Thomas' memory, Ben and Eloise decided to support and raise money for a charity who helps families like Thomas' through difficult times, as well as creating something in his honour
The idea for the album came about in early June and planning began shortly after, but recording didn't start until mid-July, giving the team slightly over a month before the set release date of the 26th August
All songs were sung and recorded by the core eight members, however a total of 26 feature across the entire album, with ages ranging from 11 to 19
All profits of the album go to the Teenage Cancer Trust to support families like Thomas' through difficult times
Thank you for supporting us, the charity and Thomas
We hope you enjoy the music!
