In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My great-grandmother's ancient Steinway upright piano and her collection of old dog-eared copies of Chopin that lived inside the piano stool. The piano had a warm, mellow, honeyed sound.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Evgeny Grinko, Tiny Mouse Tales Vladimir Ashkenazy, Ashkenazy plays Rachmaninoff Yann Tiersen, EUSA Vladimir Askhenazy is one of my all-time heroes - I love the guy! Yann Tiersen has created so many great albums, it was hard to chose just one. Evgeny Grinko has a storybook/imaginative vibe that I find inspiring.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Wanderer” I wander in nature a lot searching for untrammelled spots in forests and on hills. In one such bleak November walk this melody came to me. When I made it home, I lit the fire and put it together at the piano. Everything fell into place organically.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Travelling to Switzerland with several string player friends to film several of my pieces for piano quintet. The scenery was exquisite, featuring Switzerland's highest mountain, and made for some incredible footage.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to give concerts of my music someday and play for audiences around the world.
