Aleixa, formerly known as Sorrow of Seven, play electronic dance in the same vein as Curve or the B-52's. Vocalists Laurel Snapper and April Lassiter, and programmer/guitarist Kevin 131 played together as Sorrow of Seven from 1991 to 1994, self-releasing an album each year: Red, Teal, Amber and an album of demos. The CCM trio then changed their name to Aleixa and released Honey Lake on the Flying Tart label in 1995; Disfigured followed in 1999. Kevin 131 has also worked with Deitiphobia and on the Sill project, with Evol Eye Jeni. ~ John Bush
