In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mother was a big audiophile. She collected and listened to a ton of different music from Bright Eyes, to B.B. King, to Green Day and even Miles Davis. She would always play music and sing to me as a child, which influences much of my music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Crystal Silence D'Angelo, Voodoo Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life Crystal Silence was the first jazz album I listened to and influences me to pursue the genre. Voodoo for its analog sensibilities and admiration for Dilla Time. Stevie Wonder because this album was the first to teach me love as a universal constant.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Probably the recording of HDMI NO SIGNAL by Yung Mallet. I produced that beat and in a single session we recored both Yung Mallet and MCP-- The guest vocalist from NYC and recent guest of Fallon, vocals and music video in a single night.
