Künstler-Biographie
Focusing on pop songs arranged for orchestra, choir, and soloists, Cinematic Pop is a crossover project conceived by composer/arranger Rob Gardner, Drex Davis, and McKane Davis. Gardner's prior releases included several sacred classical works, including Lamb of God, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and Spire Chorus. Behind singers Spencer Jones and McKenna Breinholt, the project performed an expanded arrangement of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" on the TV talent competition America's Got Talent in 2016. Their self-released debut, Prologue, followed in the spring of 2017 and landed on the Billboard Heatseekers and classical crossover charts. Recorded in London with the LSO, the album featured lead vocals by Jones, Breinholt, and Cosette Smith on a set consisting mostly of covers. It included the Tears for Fears hit and songs originally by artists ranging from Simon & Garfunkel to Boston, the Cure, and Nirvana. ~ Marcy Donelson
