Eisblume are a German goth pop band whose debut album spawned the Top Five hit single "Eisblumen" in 2009. Founded in 2007 in Berlin (and not to be confused with another German act of the same name fronted by singer Christine Westphal), the band came under the guidance of the Valicon production team. Eisblume debuted in 2008 and, one year later, released "Eisblumen" (a cover of a song by Subway to Sally). It became a Top Five hit on the German singles chart, its popularity fueled in part by an ECHO-nominated video featuring manga-style animation. Also in 2009, Eisblume released their full-length album debut, Unter dem Eis. ~ Jason Birchmeier
