In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a kid, we used to ride the bus home everyday. Our driver had her bus wired with speakers. She’d play V103 and all the kids would sing along and talk about music while I would write my own lyrics to TLC or SWV tracks.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Bowie, Blackstar OutKast, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below The Clash, Combat Rock Remastered The Clash proved you can make daring, political music that’s memorable & enduring. Outkast's style & genre mix pushed me to find myself during southern rap's golden era. Bowie: strange, experimental, prophetic. I’d love to end up as cool & vibrant.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Birds” A song about the difficulties of cutting through in the age of automated ego, algorithms, and corporate buy-outs — I also get to show off my voice and combine a couple of genres seamlessly that I don’t usually use.
