In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 4, my uncle taught me the Garden Song by David Mallett and we would perform for the family at every gathering.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Feist, Multitudes Florence + the Machine, Dance Fever Feist is a raw experience. Florence and the Machine has written masterpiece after masterpiece and they are a joy to listen to and a joy to sing. They never get old. Imogen Heap has all the tingly harmonies.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “not a love song” I felt like I was disappearing and so I wrote Not a love song. I fought for her to be included in the EP and I am proud of her for standing alone in the spotlight.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I have a tendency to make people cry and they often tell me after they hear me sing. I think we all deserve grace and we are brave for realizing that we can both carry and let go of pain.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One day I will write a song that you can dance to for hours.
