In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I think one of the moments I remember the most would probably be when I did a talent show in Elementary school. I remember wanting to do it so bad and I practiced so much for it. I won second place but it's definitely one of my favorite memories.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adele, 21 RAYE, My 21st Century Blues Tyla, TYLA These 3 albums have been one of my biggest influences as past, present & future. The way each song on this album is so well crafted. You can hear the amount of love you put into a song or album and I definitely hear it in all 3 of these albums.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dear Mama” I wrote this song for my mom in LA. I always wanted to write my mom a special song so I knew I had to wait to do it with the right people. The female radiance in the session was felt, heard & used. With that Dear Mama came to life.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It would probably be me performing at a music festival called 'Sunfest'. It was a moment in my life where I was sure of what I was doing and how bad I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. Performing is my strong suit.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Since I can remember I have been saying and manifesting that I will do a Super Bowl Halftime show. I most certainly cannot wait to get to that moment of my life.
