LV is a pop-oriented R&B singer and songwriter who has cited Brandy, Christina Aguilera, and Beyoncé as some of her many influences. She made her commercial debut in 2018 and released her debut EP, Xcited, the next year.
Originally from Phoenix but based in Miami following a phase in Atlanta, LV (Laura Varker) aspired to be an artist as a youngster and started recording at the age of 14. A few years later, she started writing her own material, gained some ground on a local level, and eventually fell in with Flo Rida, who showcased her during his halftime-show performance at the 2018 Orange Bowl. By then, LV had self-released "Forget You" and "Drunk Txt" -- her first two commercially available singles -- and a holiday EP, Christmas Classics. The next year, LV issued a couple more singles and included them on Xcited, a seven-track EP. ~ Andy Kellman
