Über The Rose
Influenced by K-pop and indie rock, South Korean band The Rose has garnered a worldwide following since forming in 2017.
∙ Years before joining The Rose, lead singer/guitarist Woosung made his debut on the first season of the reality-TV singing competition K-Pop Star.
∙ Members Dojoon, Jaehyeong, and Hajoon originally met while busking in Seoul’s Hongdae region, before they formed the indie band Windfall in 2015.
∙ Void, the group’s 2018 debut LP, earned them their first Top 10 hit on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
∙ The band starred in The Rose TV, a 2018 reality miniseries that profiled each member.
∙ In 2018, they won Most Promising Artist at the International K-Music Awards, a ceremony honoring excellence in K-pop and J-pop.
∙ They recorded the 2019 single “Strangers” as the theme song for the Korean horror TV series Strangers From Hell.
