In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mum had an old casio keyboard that had presets to make songs with. I was mucking around on it and found one that I liked, found some chords i liked, and wrote my first song! It's called 'My Hairs Gone Blue' because my mums shampoo was blue.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? RAYE, My 21st Century Blues The Strokes, The New Abnormal Tinashe, Songs for You I've been obsessed with this RAYE album recently, i feel like it's a work of art. Tinashe's 'Songs For You' album inspired a lot of my early Zhuli songs. I am a big strokes fan and loved their new album when it came out.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bleach” Bleach is special just because i love it so much. I love the production, i love the lyrics, i love the feeling it gives me when I listen to it. It's a reminder that i have to be the biggest supporter of my own music!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opened with Hi Life for Alison Wonderland's tour in 2018 at the Enmore theatre - one of my favourite venues in Sydney and it was sick to play. Other memorable moments was writing with a few of my idols - Caleb Nott from Broods in particular!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? If I don't at least tour in an international country once in my life i'll kms
