Zoocci Coke Dope merges metallic, Auto-Tune-laced melodies with casual flexes and personal tales of aspiration to craft irrepressible bangers. Born Andile Sibabalwe Fiphaza in 1994 in Pretoria, he began making his own beats on FL Studio at the age of 10. By 2014, he'd become a respected producer. In 2017, he unloaded Morning Star, a stylish collection of melodic bangers that established his penchant for making anthems. On subsequent projects like 2019's Die Dope, he jumped onto more adventurous beats, doubled down on the boasting, and refined his all-around songwriting abilities. For Anxiety (also 2019), he reflects on themes of mental health with disarming honesty, amid distorted soundscapes that simulate the sensation its project title suggests. With the production technique of a master craftsman and the songwriting sensibilities of a star, Zoocci Coke Dope is a major force on the South African rap scene.
