Since forming in Mazatlán in 2003, the large, festive Banda MS have specialized in romantic canciones and balladry while eschewing the narcocorridos of their Sinaloan colleagues. Set in idealized worlds of wealth and success, Banda MS videos depict lovers at the heights of both passion and despair. While the group is more heard than seen, singer Alan Ramirez is often cast as a devoted husband or tortured lover.
