It took me a long time to get the music out
Because I was going through a lot of stuff

The CEO of the label said, "To be honest with you, you took too long"

You know, "Hey, my pops died, I was going through
This, I went through a lot of depression," all that
They didn't care about that, they was
Like, "Well, sorry, took too long"
So I actually, you know, put this album out on my own
Um, I, you know, I don't need any, I don't really need
Any resources other than, the only, only thing that could
Help me would be a bigger label than what I already am
Now, I'm not a big label by any means, I'm just
Saying I just had to, I couldn't stop the album
So I put the album out on my own, you know
So it's like I'm building my team, you know?
I got my, my A&R, I got my security people lined up, I got
You know, people, models and stuff to, to, you know, put my
CDs out, you know, like in Hollywood, we're gonna go out there
I'm developing a team right now to push it on my own because there's
A lot of artists that are, uh, independent, even Chance the Rapper
I don't know if you know Chance the Rapper, but
You know, a lot of artists are going independent
I preferably did not wanna go independent because
Of my age and I just, I'm tired, you know?
I've been, I've been doing this since I was

I, I expressed a lot of my pain through my music

Pain because whenever I feel pain, I create songs
People that, that are not musicians, I don't know how they stop
From becoming insane because you gotta have an outlet for whenever
You're, you're down and depressed or whatever the case may be
You have to have an outlet
My outlet is music, some people, my outlet might be playing
Golf, some people's outlet might be playing basketball
My outlet is music, you know?
And everybody has to have an outlet because you can't sit there
And harbor up that and just conjure up that pain and keep it inside '
Cause you're gonna explode and you'll lose everything you got
I mean, that's just, I've seen it a thousand times, you know?
People, you know, going through heartbreak and they
Don't wanna talk to people about it and blah, blah, blah
And then all of a sudden they just fucking lose it all
They lose their house, lose their cars, lose their friends
All of a sudden they're smoking crack and skate roll because
They don't know how to deal with their pain, you know?
They just self-destruct
So what, the only thing that stopped me
From self-destructing was doing music
That said, I got a deal, lost a deal, still put the
Album out and that's, you know, it's coming out next week
We don't have physical CDs and all the stuff, you know
You, you know, whatever, I won't get into all that
But the album's coming out probably like seven to ten days
That said, I had to keep moving forward because
I was really upset when the label dropped me
I mean, I worked all my life to get here from Arkansas, from a
Population of nine thousand people, to come to LA and sign to a major
Label and they only tell me, "Oh, you took too long on the album"
But if I did not take this time on the album, it
Would not be a good album, you know what I'm saying?
So if I could do it all over again, I would do it all
Over again, just have a better product for my fans

I'm still signed with the label right now, but they won't put my
