Soldier

I take aim from the kitchen window I take aim from up and down below I take aim from the tree in your backyard I fall asleep but I'm always on guard I take the shots but I have no authority I take the shots but I'm not guilty I'm just a soldier in another war It doesn't matter who I'm fighting for I don't stop till my country says so I don't stop till the end of the show I don't know why I hold this gun I'm just a soldier Fighting for someone I have a wife and a big ol' family I have a wife and she's waiting at home for me I cleanse my sins as I walk through that door It doesn't matter what I've done before I don't stop till my mission is done I don't stop till they tell me I've won I don't know what I'm fighting for I'm just a soldier aiming for one more My family they cover me My family they cover me All I see is what I believe I am not guilty, no I am not guilty I don't stop not even in my dreams I don't stop seeing things that I've seen I don't know why I raise this hell I'm just a soldier fighting for someone else
