As hours go by I look to the sky I'm wondering why Seemed happy to play With me yesterday Why did she stay? Birds fly to the breeze They talk to the trees This makes me at ease And I try not to gaze But I can't fill the space Of the smile on her face You know it took some time To really know you well And how it hurts to know That you can be unkind While I drift further from your mind How little did I know?
