It's been hard to love myself while my brain isn't working correctly

My emotions are fucked up and broken, I know it, but still I just hold it against me

Made a lot of questionable choices

The voices in my head annoy me, avoid 'em

And you don't understand that I'm lacking the dopamine

Fell face first into self-hatred and I can't get myself back out

So I just mix opiates up with the copious amount of liquor until I pass out (Until I pass out)

Lay in bed until three p.m

Saw no choice but to take that route

Seems so hard just to get back up when

We were living it up

Now I wake up, take my prescriptions, light a cigarette up, get it into my lungs

Go through the motions

Pissed I've become someone that I hate and who lives like a bum

Depression is something I never expected to wrestle with or that I'd wish to be dead

When I can't get the negative thoughts in my head to quit nagging me constantly (Got me on edge again)

I always thought I'd grow up to be better than who I am now
