Songtexte

My drifting superstition
Gets me just what I want
And when I need an answer
Well I’ll feed it to my song
My compass is a toy
The needle reads my mind
I paint my winter static
In my superstitious sky

Oh, I don’t know where I’m going
And if it’s good you know I’ll do it twice
Oh, I don’t know where it’s going
Seen stacked and patterned for a happy life

Hello all eternity, my question is the same
Why painted faces always run
On a smile that’s made from pain
My drifting superstition, there’s money in the smoke
From a matchstick in the cauldron
That tells me what to know

Oh, I don’t know where I’m going
And if it’s good you know I’ll do it twice
Oh, I don’t know where it’s going
Seen stacked and patterned for a happy life

Learn to see the wild wind blowin’
Feeling like it’s just pretend
And so I take it up with understanding
So if it’s good, we’re good, I’m good
