Maybe I’m watching it decay

The noose is tightening today

Walls are leaking soon they’re gonna cave

And everything we’ve known will float away

But in a parallel timeline

All of this is well enough

And there’s so much money

We don’t even care to count it up

It’s in and out before there’s time to think

Gone in a blink

Maybe if I could be like you

Simple worry isn’t that the truth?

If you only knew what looms around the bend

Then it wouldn’t matter to defend

But in a parallel timeline

None of this even exists

Because I made my choices

Differently and I could not resist

Reckless to the sudden end of my

Stubborn little life

Maybe now can I make amends?

If every good thing must come to end

The bad news is hanging on my tongue

And soon we will all be on the run

But in a parallel timeline

None of this is happening for worse

Only a different set of

Worries plaguing our universe

It might be luck or maybe it’s a curse

Why bother to rehearse it now?
