Songtexte

Alarm set for 6am, I jump with joy for my day to begin,
‘Cus these are the days that I’ve really been waiting for,
Well there ain’t anything quite like days like these,
When I strip it back, I’m real easy to please,
A quick shower and a shave, my best clothes and I’m out the door.
As I eagerly await to be dropped off…
We’re going day drinking. We’ll throw them back all afternoon.
Just me and the boys at the smokehouse bar,
Where a clever conversation won’t get you far.
I know what you’re thinking, you could join us if you wanted too.
All you need is a seat by me, a steady hand and a little immaturity
And a love for day drinking.
Well we’re in fine form and in full swing,
Like Neanderthals with the beer and the wings,
I guess my folks would be proud if they could see the state that I’ve become.
‘Cus damn its tough being straight laced all year round.
So on days like these I do the idiots proud,
And talk before thinking, and chug when I’m drinking them down.
As the sensible braincells begin to fade.
And a love for day drinking…
Cus its one shot, two beers, three drinks more,
A couple rum and cokes, and let the Jager poor,
Now we’re dancing around to our favourite song,
As the sun comes up, its time to go home, yeah…
We went day drinking, we threw them back all afternoon,
Just me and the boys at the smokehouse bar,
Where a clever conversation didn’t get us far.
I Know what you’re thinking, you could join us if you wanted too,
All you need is a seat by me, a steady hand and a little immaturity
And a love for day drinking.
