Need the Dark

Everybody in the world's got a story to tell And one mans Heaven could be another man's hell Another mother cryin' cuz her son's stuck in a cell While a father's dyin' tellin his daughter he's doin' well That's life, it all comes down to a perspective Always two sides with different objectives Behind every smile are feelings neglected And some get despised Some keep getting rejected I never judge a book by the cover I've gotten to the point where I try to discover, real character 'Cuz what's important is we try to consider That everyone's got their own battles remember That life goes up and down we all know (Yes) And the night is always darkest before the dawn Sometimes the light is dim, at times brighter than the sun So even if it takes time, I'm gettin' this done I know we've all got a different story I know we've all got some pain inside But whenever it's dark, don't worry Just fly till you see the light Yo, when life gets better The days will end quicker The pain becomes greater The light becomes dimmer The air becomes thinner The higher we get, bigger the drop Makes it harder for us to get back up I'm not sayin' we should just stop tryin' But I've had those days where I felt like dyin' Where it got so dark, I couldn't find a light Not even a little spark of hope in the blackest of nights But I never lost the will to fight Whenever I'm in doubt, I just do what's right Took flight to survive And I did it, still here Still facin' my fears, still proud that I'm weird I was afraid of the dark, so I lived in the night It was a different ball park, but I came through alright Still nice with it, fine with it Went and did it, had to get it Made it better, gotten clever, never underestimated I know we've all got a different story I know we've all got some pain inside But whenever it's dark, don't worry Just fly till you see the light I know that life can get hard So hard it's bringin' you down 'Cuz I've been broken apart But now I've figured it out!
