I had started to believe Now I am back To wondering if you hear me Did you turn your back? On me your daughter at the water Wandering again Can't you see that I'm tired? This little heart Is just a muscle it's only wired To want what it wants Some helpless longing for belonging Calling again (The ocean) But don't you know? My salt runs in your veins And don't you know? Below the weather and the waves There's a calm cobalt blue A quiet constant truth I know this place is a mess It's not just me In pieces lost and distressed I'm just one more Small speck of sand here on dry land Stranded again So I came here to pray Small up against This vast and endless array Of water on stone You could dissolve me or resolve me All of me here (The ocean) But don't you see? This fog around your face And don't you see? The beauty in this place The space in between Things that go unseen Oh the spaces in between All you cannot see
