Back To the Dream

Down at the edge of darkness I fell into a dream It felt strangely familiar Like a place I'd always been I stared in the eyes of someone I felt love I'd never felt A joy came and rushed right through me And as I woke it left Searched all over the earth to find it Crossed all the roaring seas Now I wait for the night I fall in And get back to that dream Now I wander the constant daydream I see her face when I close my eyes I search for it in every stranger I search but do not find And sleep it comes to me quick and easy In the hope I'd fall in that dream But every night that the dream eludes me It's harder to believe Searched all over the earth to find it Crossed all the roaring seas Now I wait for the night I fall in And get back to that dream
