Taking My Time

I'm taking my time away from all of this,

I'm taking my time to fix what I have missed,

I don't know how it'll ever change,

But this time I do know that I'm taking my time to get back what's mine.

I used to rush through life so fast,

Never stopping to take a breath,

But now I know that speed won't last,

And I need to slow down instead.

I've made mistakes along the way,

And lost some things that I held dear,

But now I'm ready to make a change,

And face my fears

I'm learning to appreciate each moment,
