Life is Passing By

Voluntarily stress I've put upon myself

While running through the maze

Everybody walks through

Some will give they heart to

Others in a daze, not aware of their actions

Passive, lacking satisfactions

Missing all the beauty and never really graspin'

Time goin' fast, won't be here forever

Thinkin' back to my past when my days were better

'Cause they were simple

Doesn't mean I didn't have to struggle

But it's nothing in comparison to problems that I juggle

When the money gettin' lower and the hunger seem to double

I been there, trust me, I been there

Find a little happiness in breathing on a warm summer evening

When your mind is racing

Please don't chase the thought of what it could be 'fore it's gone

Running through the maze won't make you happy in the end

Thinking back on every stone unturned

Rushing through your journey's something I don't comprehend

Breaking free from everything I've learned

Life is passing by

Laying in the grass that decorates a path I entered on a whim

Where I went to skim through pages of my past life

Times I didn't act right, where should I begin?

Digging deep within visions in my head

That never strayed away and always held me down

But if I could bury all regret, it would be underground
