I looked at the time

What are the chances?

I listened to the street

To the sound of wheels turning

As I lay on the ground I felt the earth shaking

Still, the moon stood proud

Looking on, waiting…

That sums up the facts

I step right up, then back

Here comes the man

As I sat there sleeping

Right outside, these dogs started barking

From the window the sky was bright red, like I’d not seen for a while

So I covered my eyes

And listened to the clock keeping time
