Shaken

I used to run like the river, free and steady

The wind on my neck kept guiding me

I landed on her shore from the rising seas

and she took my hand so obligingly

Golden like the sunrise on sacred land

But she’s soft as the touch of the rain upon my hands

Circadian rhythm vibrates the earth below my feet

Teaching me things that only she could teach, at a high degree
