The creeping West Coast bounce of “Been Awhile” soundtracks Coner, Never Sober, and Zipper Louie’s back-and-forth about the difficulties of returning home from prison. From there, the shooting synths of “Get That Dough” score an archetypical hustler’s anthem, before “Cruising with the Homies,” a softer depiction of summertime in the hood, offers some respite from the grimness.
