Chicago-based instrumental post-rock/metal trio Russian Circles create a complex clamor of sprawling guitars, propulsive drumming, and heavy bass lines. First emerging with the promising 2006 debut Enter, the group became one of the leading post-metal acts of the 2010s, receiving wide acclaim for ambitious full-lengths such as Empros (2011) and Guidance (2016). Continuing into the next decade, the band released the raw, direct Gnosis in 2022.
