Formed in Liverpool in 2017, the '90s alt-rock-inspired duo take influence from acts such as Mazzy Star and Portishead. Larger than the sum of their parts, King Hannah's sparse arrangements and minimalist lyrics contribute to soundscapes that are cinematic in their scope. They employed this approach on their debut EP, 2020's Tell Me Your Mind and I'll Tell You Mine, then stripped things back even further on their 2022 full-length I'm Not Being Sorry, I Was Just Being Me, giving the songs additional room to breathe.
