Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I feel like sound has always fascinated me. I remember being one of those kids banging around on pots & pans with a wooden spoon. One year my brother and I got a tape recorder for Christmas and we started doing audio versions of our comic books. Fun!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adam & The Ants, Kings of the Wild Frontier Brian Eno, Another Green World Devo, Duty Now for the Future (Deluxe Edition) Each of these albums was formative for me in some way. Another Green World shows experimental artist Brian Eno in transition, dabbling with sounds and song structure. Devo has always been a favorite, and you gotta love the throbbing beat of the Ants!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Theme from the Unbelievables” Early on I was asked by some friends to create a theme song for their blog. It was the first time anyone had commissioned music from me, and it was the first time I felt like I was actually a musician. Up until then I felt like an imposter. A fave!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Nothing beats that feeling of having my first album out in the world on CD and on streaming! Knowing that I was able to take my musical ideas and not only complete them, but also make them available to the world was such an incredible rush!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I am incredibly shy about performing live in front of people, especially since a lot of what I do is experimental and spontaneously produced in my home studio. If I can figure out how to recreate my sound in a live performance situation, I would try.
