About ABRA
Nicknamed the "darkwave duchess," singer/songwriter and producer Abra is acclaimed for her shadowy, lo-fi R&B songs and her work with several major pop, rap, and dance artists. She became an underground sensation with the bedroom-recorded Awful Records release Rose (2015), and earned further accolades for the subsequent Princess EP (2016). She guested on tracks by Charli xcx, Gorillaz, Solange, Bad Bunny, and several others, then reunited with past collaborator Playboi Carti on "Unlock It." A deal with the RCA-distributed Polo Grounds Music didn't pan out, but Abra set up her own label, Acid Palace Recordings, her outlet for the enticing "FKA Mess" (2023) and driving Kingdom collaboration "Subi" (2024).
