Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and that's where Selena was from, so I inevitably gravitated toward her music. I wouldn't be who I am today without her influence. I also grew up listening to a lot of jazz - Nancy Sinatra and Astrud Gilberto.

It's changed a lot of things for me in my career, and it's so full circle to have my culture serve as a catapult for me.
