About Ansel Elgort
Singer, DJ, and actor Ansel Elgort has released a string of electronic and pop tracks while building a successful film career.
• The son of an opera director and a fashion photographer, Elgort had a knack for performing from a young age. He attended the famed LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in his native New York City.
• He began his music career under the name DJ Ansølo, posting remixes to tracks like Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die.” His first original song, “Unite,” arrived in 2014.
• In 2015, Elgort signed with Island/Universal Records and went on to release a handful of singles on the label, including “You Can Count on Me,” featuring Logic. The pair also collaborated on the track “Killing Spree,” from the rapper’s 2017 album Everybody.
• Elgort’s filmography includes Carrie (2013), The Fault In Our Stars (2014), and Baby Driver (2017).
