The Portland, Oregon-born singer/songwriter and deft guitarist throws layers of slick pop, blues, and soul on top of the earnest folk-rock with which he set out his stall in the mid-2010s. In 2013, he moved to L.A., and after touring with Cody Simpson and Justin Bieber, he released his 2015 debut EP, On the Run. 2019's Barely Put Together EP condensed the styles introduced to his sound over the previous four years: blues-rock, pop, and R&B. These were further evident on 2020's Overcast, and in late 2022 he issued his debut full-length, Future Tense, a collection recorded between Portland, L.A., and London.
